Beautiful appearance, think unfiltered apple cider. Pale cream head that slowly disappears. Smell is faint apple juice and straw. Taste is apple up front with a tart lemony finish which becomes more apparent as it warms. Finish is tart apple skin with a citrus find finish. Mouthfeel is well carbonated yet smooth and mildly creamy. Well done effort from my favorite local brewery. Special taproom only release with only a 1/4 barrel available. Came in fully expecting to have the Apple Pale Ale which was the other half of the release but the Abbey won me over. Great stuff!
