Very bitter. Nice floral smell. Just not what I want in a saison overall

On tap at Field Of Drafts held at The Hanger in Lancaster, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, citrus fruit, and slight spice aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some solid aromas and flavors for the style.

12 ounce draft pour in a shaker glass.
Appearance: Opaque amber honey with a head that thins quickly.
Smell: Imagine cutting lemons in an old, musty kitchen. Outside the garden is being tilled.
Taste: Very citrusy with a touch of honey. Lots of clove and a breath of banana. Gets a little yeasty at the bottom of the glass.
Mouthfeel: Light body, medium carbonation. Slight numbing sensation from the clove flavor.
Overall: This pour was a little under-carbonated, and certainly served in the wrong glassware. There is probably a pretty good beer in here, but it was not presented well. I’d like to give it another chance somewhere else.
