On tap at Bru Grill & Market in Lake Forest.
A: Pours black with a 1/2" mocha head which fades to the rim leaving some spots of lace.
N: Roasted coffee, cream, toasted marshmallow, slight yeast and floral notes.
T: Slightly bitter stale coffee with some burnt/char and roast. Faint estery saison yeasty. Dark fruits from either the coffee or yeast or both.
M: Semi-moderate body and carbonation. Dry, bitter and roasted coffee grounds finish.
O: An dark espresso saison may sound interesting, but this attempt missed the target.
