Pours a pale gold, with an ample frothy head of foam, decent lacing.
Aroma is off, DMS, creamed corn, overcooked vegetables. Not much smoke there.
Taste is a little better, though the corn is prevalent there too. Some decent wood smoke behind that. Light bodied but with some substance, and an even level of carbonation. Needs some tweaking.

I've only had a few smoked beers so I dont know if people actually drink several of them at once. I sure couldn't and a six pack will last a long time. This beer has nice balance between the lager beer and smoke flavors. You can still taste the beer besides the smoke which is nice. Sugarfire is a really good BBQ joint and they did a good job with the smoking addition in this beer. If smoke is your thing give this one a go.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of strong smoke, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and a hint of hops. Fits the style of a Rauchbier. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong smoke, pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of yeast, and a hint of hop. Overall, the smoke quality in both and aroma and body is fantastic, otherwise an average beer.

Poured out a dark, dark amber color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled smokey with a roasty kick. It tasted smokey with a roasted malt flavor. Some toffee and burnt molasses. It was crisp and smooth.

Deep gold in color with excellent clarity and a fingernail of off white head around the rim. I smell corn German hops. The flavor matches the nose. This is not a smoked lager as advertised as there is not a hint of smoke in the nose or the flavor. The mouth is crisp and refreshing. There is more body than I typically find in a lager here.
