Scents of spicy chai tea, sweetened coffee with cream, cinnamon, light nutmeg and light roast malt. Overall impression of aroma is of a mild, light stout that is spicy and fairly sweet in aroma, with enough "dark" aromas to balance. Flavor lightly bittersweet with notes of spicy, creamy chai tea, nutmeg, roast malt and unsweetened coffee with cream. This moves into a still bittersweet middle with notes of black coffee, roast malt, light caramel and toffee and a still apparent flavor of spicy, sweet chai tea. Finish is medium-dry with medium-high roast malt and coffee flavors, medium-light chai tea and sweet spices and light caramel. Aftertaste is spicy chai tea and roast malt. Overall impression of flavor is of a nicely robust, true to style American Stout with a robust, roasted character. Adding to this is a pleasant chai tea flavor that aids the overall flavor profile. Very nicely done. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with high carbonation and a smooth, creamy, easy to drink feel that has a slightly chalky finish. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a very classic, true to form stout. Overall this is a very good stout. It has an excellent unique aroma and flavor layered atop a solid classic stout that lends a nice overall impression. Flavor is aided by a nice mouthfeel and this beer comes across as very well executed.
