A solid, easy-drinking session APA—indeed, the second-lowest abv in THAT's repertoire, and fairly low on the hopping as well—with a substantial rye twist, filling the hole left by lower-level hopping with a fistful of rye bite, which lingers and mingles with hoppy bitter-acids (the primary affect imparted by what hops are there).
Great golden, ghee-brown color; quite turbid, and distinctly translucent; light on the carbonation, but decent enough head poured into a shaker-pint out of a growler. Floral hop aromas surprisingly predominate the nose, given the lighter, bitter-heavy hop qualities in the flavor-profile; these are nicely matched with bready (almost banana-bready) grain esters.
While it could a bit smoother, better balanced, and have hope notes outside the big-bitter-pine spectrum, to better situated the rye-bite, it's nonetheless solid—strangely, it sort conjures on my mind-tongue a light-weight, less complex, more banal cousin to 3F's Rye'da Tiger.
