Stopped by That Brewery on the drive from Phoenix to Sedona and, I'm so glad we did. By some miracle, they had five cans of these left of the year's batch. I graciously left two of them to be enjoyed by someone else.

Pours with a beautiful opaque dark brown body and a cappuccino colored head. Light barely penetrates it. I wish the head was longer lasting, but the carbonation level is perfect.

Aromas of roasted malts, cream, milk chocolate and caramel are all prominent. Would I be able to tell the caramel was made with goat milk? Honestly no. But I will say it smells creamier than any stout I've ever had before.

It also tastes extremely creamy, but not lactosey at all. The roastiness of the malt balances perfectly with the lightly sweet creaminess of the caramel. It finishes with hints of hay and a satisfying buttery fresh biscuit flavor. I'm amazed at how buttery the overall flavor is.

The feel is frothy up front, with a pleasant dryness in the middle and a creamy finish that coats your tongue in the most satisfying way. I imagine that this might be too rich for some, but I'm absolutely obsessed with it.

Honestly the more I try goat milk products, the more I wonder why we're so obsessed with cow milk. I'm really curious to try the actual caramel now, because this stout is delicious. Cheers!
