Brewed & sampled on tap at Oggi's Scottsdale, AZ
This beer is a clear, full red color and is topped by one of the longer lasting tap dispensed heads that I have seen. The head is an amber tan colored head, that lasts all the while that I drink this beer. There is a dominant raspberry aroma on this beer; it is tart, fleshy, yet distinctly and overwhelmingly raspberry.
This beer has a creamy mouthfeel with a light sweetness to it. Ultimately though the flavor of this beer is dominated by the raspberry note. The raspberry character adds a bit of acidity, which, in combination with the sweetness adds a bit of a cough-medicine like note. In general I am quite afraid of raspberry flavored beers, this is not too bad though. If you like this type of beer I would definitely recommend it, but it is hard for me to truly enjoy it.
