Pours yellowish orange and quite cloudy. Almost entirely opaque. Small white head. The aroma is mostly just a semi generic Belgian flavor. Mostly light stone fruits with a mild medicinal note. It's not bad, just a bit boring. Lots of malt sweetness. Raisins, dates, apricots, sugar cane, band aids, mild earth. Taste is sweet. Too sweet, really. The same general fruity flavors show up again, bit it's mostly simple malt sweetness. A hint of citric hoppiness. Pretty normal carbonation, perhaps a bit on the low side for the style. I always have high hopes for new Northern California breweries, so this is somewhat disappointing. It's just too sweet and not very interesting. The flavors aren't bad, so I hope that they just work at drying this beer out and come back strong.
