Vanilla, oak tannins without being overly astringent for a Flanders Red. Dry and free from the vinegar notes that sometimes dominate the style. Hats off to the blenders of this one. Respect.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy murky brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep sweet malt notes with some vinous notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of sweet heavy malt notes with some oak and vinous notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not a typical Flanders red per say but an interesting mix nonetheless.

The beer color is brown, muddy. Not clear at all. Opaque. The head is frivolous thus disappear quickly. Lightly brown or white head. Leaves a thin lacing on the glass. Big body beer from the look only.
The smell is sour and funky, vinegar in the style of white wine. However, I do get some candy notes in the aroma. The aroma is of average intensity.
The taste is dominated by sourness. Its very nice on the taste. It lingers. I get some very interesting notes of... can't put the word to it maybe its the candy/sugar. Some fruits in there too. Effervescent in the mouth, but not too much. Its just enough to make it interesting. A very complex beer. Nicely done.
Quite easy to drink. Very interesting beer. Tasty and delicious. With its 8% abv, its a dangerous beer. Overall, its pretty decent. Glad I bought a case. We'll see how it evolves with time.
