Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.
Pours a murky, very dark golden (merging on brown) colour, with a small white head.
Smells quite funky and tart. Hints of sour pineapple and wood. Very unique.
Tastes incredibly smooth at first, becoming more acidic and tart as you swallow. Smooth yet balanced sourness to start off with and a nice oaky aspect to it, before heating up with hints of pepper, a bit more pineapple/lemon citrus, and a buzz of carbonation, leading to a mid-dry finish.
Overall a pretty unique beer, refreshing and complex yet simple at the same time. Great stuff.
