Bottle: Poured a clear deep copper color ale with a medium brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of whisky notes with some oak and caramelized malt with nice toffee notes. Taste is a great mix between some whisky notes with some caramelized malt with residual sugar notes and toffee with some oak cutting through the richness of the beer. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Fantastic beer with the barrel –aging really adding some depth and complexities to the base beer while retaining some balance.
