This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy muddy brown to purple color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head began and then slid nicely into the beer. Sly messy lacing. The aroma, obviously had the blackberry, smooth sweet with a light tartness to it. Some sweet wheat to balance. The flavor balances nicely between the sweet to the tart, fruitiness to malts to a light bitter hoppiness. Light sweet to tart aftertaste with a quick tart finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Soothing carbonation feels good. Overall, great blackberry ale that I would have again.
