Copper colored and nearly clear. Small head but it does leave an initial ring of lace.

Unlike the pirate version, this has a definitive hop nose. Still, the caramelized malt holds up well.

Highly carbonated, this beer doesn't have enough base to make up for it. The flavor has a pleasant and biting fresh hop. Long aftertaste, naturally. The malt base is solid providing a good balance to this beer.

This is a great beer. very hoppy, probably more than pale ale should be without being called an IPA.

Only available on tap. Hit or miss with the carbonation. Overall a solid beer with a big malt backbone and ample hops.

Had in Beijing.
Slowboat's 2L stainless steel growler poured into a pint glass.
ABV: 5.75%
IBUs: 70

A- Deep brown with a reddish hue. Beautiful bright white head. Great clarity.

S- A good whiff of piney American hops. A hint of biscuity malts.

T- Waves of piney, resinous hops are tamed by a touch of carmel malt sweetness. Just enough to give this beer balance. Finishes quite dry with hops lingering in the aftertaste.

M- Feels a little thin on the palate. Good carbonation.

This is Slowboat's flagship beer. It's a big no-nonsense APA that is well worth a try if you visit their taproom. What it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in character.
