Draft at the brewery. Saving the best for last, I hope? Darkish golden pour, small soapy head. Mild hoppy aroma. Taste also favors the hops, but let’s the malts shine through. Mild for an APA, but highly drinkable.

Probably my favorite Colorado brewed APA.
L- Crystal clear, bright copper. Only knock is mediocre head retention and served in very scratched up glass (irrelevant to the actual beer though).
S- orange marmalade on some bread and then some grapefruit.
T- sweet orange and then bitter grapefruit, all on top of semi bready malt.
M- Not malty sweet but also not bone dry. Perfect balance in mouthfeel and lingering bitterness.
O-would have to do a side by side but it reminds me of a littler, slightly tamer Zombie Dust. I don’t know the hop profile but I’m picking up a lot of Citra. Could be wrong. Either way, it’s delicious!

From a fresh growler to a nonic glass.
A-The beer is a good looking light-golden color. It is clear with a bit of carbonation floating up. The head is short and just-off-white colored. Retention is short and lacing is minimal.
S-The aroma is heavy on the hops with pine, orange, and lime notes. There are some toast and cracker flavors from the malt, but overall this one leans hoppy.
T-The taste is similarly hoppy with citrus flavors like lime and orange, as well as light pine notes that provide some pungency and bitterness. The beer is pretty dry, but a little bit of sweetness creeps in with flavors of light caramel and toasted bread.
M-The body is light to medium with average levels of carbonation. It drinks easy.
O-This is a good example of a new style of APA and a great example of a beer that packs a reasonable 5% ABV, but doesn't taste like fizzy hop water. I will drink this all day versus many of the session IPAs that are out there.

Cannonball Creek Featherweight Pale: Light golden body, clear with little carbonation. A thin head forms. Hoppy, piney aroma. For a pale ale, it's on the hoppy side. Lots of grapefruit and pine flavor. It's a good beer, but I would go for the Mindbender. They are similar in style, so go for the gusto.
Cannonball Creek really needs an easy drinking lager for summer. The Featherweight Pale is a great beer, but it's not pale enough and too hoppy/piney to be the go to quaff on a hot day.
