Saisons are not easy to make. Just ask a "friend" in Denver. This is a dark saison, FYI
Pours a solid soda color with off tan head. Head goes away to nothing. Vigorous swirl does not resurrect it. Hmmm
Spicy aroma with subtle roastiness underneath. Coriander and lemon struggle to dominate. Neither does. Hop freshness here and there.
Flavor isn't all that "dark". Soft roastiness and baked caramel. Spices are struggling to remain afloat. Not that the malt is dominating, it just seems the yeast is being asked too much to carry this beer. Kind of a odd finish. Dry, spice, malt, thin.
