Deep orange to amber in color with a 3 finger whitish head that leaves great lacing.

Opulent citric/grassy hops with woody oak and vanilla. Hints of bourbon and doughy bread.

Sweet malts with an early explosion of vanilla with citric and grassy hops as well as more woody oak. Then more of a caramel/grapefruit peel effect in the middle, and ending with mostly just grapefruit peel.

Medium bodied and moderately crisp with light syrup giving good retention. Ending with a rising astringency and becoming drying.

A kicked up Get Bent. I really liked this. The bourbon barrel was evident, but didn't overwhelm the hops.

Had this from tap during a beer tour. Rounds out their Get Bent IPA nicely, a bit of bourbon in the flavor but none of the high alcohol burn some BA's get. Would certainly have this one again if I got the opportunity to and the people I was on the tour with would agree with that, we were all pleasantly surprised by this.

This is the bourbon barrel-aged version of Parkway's Flagship beer, Get Bent Mountain IPA. It was only barrel-aged briefly, but the beer picks up a nice oak-y flavor, with subtle vanilla and bourbon undertones. This was also dry-hopped with Ella hops so that there would still be that hop punch that you get from this great, American IPA.
I feel this a great execution at a barrel-aged IPA, which to be honest isn't a style too many people are fond of. If you had Founders Doom then this is not quite as bourbon-y as that one, however this one is still pretty true to an IPA that it still has the nice hop presence. Easy drinking and downright tasty. Will definitely have to revisit this one here soon.
