Notes of espresso and milky chocolate on the nose meld with flavors of dark roasted barley to create a rich, creamy mouth-feel that ends with a dry, slightly bitter, finish.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear very dark brown in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of chestnut brown + cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a tow finger tall dense sudsy foamy dark tan head that reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of dark roasted malts with light amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate aromas of dark chocolate and coffee with a hint of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of bready malts with moderate flavors of dark roasted malts and a hint of caramel malts with a hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by just shy of moderate flavors of dark chocolate + coffee. Light hints of earthy hops. Slightly stronger than moderate amounts of roasty bitterness which lingers through the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a nice light mouthfeel. Enjoyable with enough roasty bitterness and drying but still some complexity to the flavors and aromas.

Jet black with full inch tan choppy head.
Roasted malts, a bit burnt crackery grain. Creamy mouthfeel. Not seeing the chocolate noted on the bottle, but certainly a dry bitter finish. Exceptionally so. Real light body.
Well balanced change of pace stout.

Pours very dark brown with faint ruby highlights when held up to a bright light. A 3 finger brown head that looks like bubbly wort as it quickly recedes.
Aroma of rich coffee or dark chocolate with hints of milkiness as it warms.
Really dry at first, but then some light sweet malts show through. Dark coffee more so than dark chocolate with a bit of tart citrus and burnt wood.
Moderately crisp and medium full in body with light astringency. Somewhat drying.
Another really good offering from Parkway. Not as dry as I feared it would be, I appreciated the bit of sweetness.
