Collab with Gabe Rucker of Le Pegeon, brewed with fennel seed and pollen, and cascade hops.
On draught at the brewery, cloudy gold with a white head leaving scattered lace.
Smell is sweet black licorice, mild citrus. Bright and fresh.
Taste if fainter on the pollen, more grainy, some phenols, a touch yeasty. The citrus hop notes come through nicely, inter-playing (I assume) with the esters, with lime on the finish.
Mouthfeel is dry, slippery, light.
Drinkability is strong, a delicious saison with a fantastic use of the adjuncts.
