The use of Cascade in some degrees contrasts rather than accentuates the tropical aspects I love about Wanderlust. That said, it's still an outstanding FH brew, just a bit of a hybrid of styles/hop profiles.

2021 Cascade version.
A clear orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose is great, Vian, fresh Cascades. Oily, resiny, bitter, pungent, resiny, grapefruit, citrus peel. Very different from the regular Wanderlust. The palate opens bitter, fresh hop flavor. Grapefruit, pine, citrus, a mild malt character. Drying, bitter, resiny finish. A touch overcarbonated but otherwise excellent.

16oz can served in a stemless wineglass. Can label just says Fresh Hop 2021, stamp on the bottom of the can is 09/07/21 FH WANDERLUST.
Pours a clear brassy color with a smallish head. Smell is bright melon/bubblegum, a little resin and honeysuckle/floral.
Taste is a nice balance of malty/honey sweetness and floral/herbal/green notes, melon and bubblegum again, bitter resin finish.
Mouthfeel is light and dry. This is a very good beer.

Canned 09/12/24. Cascade. Darker, bitterer than my notes suggest. Melon rind yes, bubblegum no.

Our first from this popular loacal brewery. A hazy, golden pour with frothy head which fades to a light coating and sticky lacing. Definite floaral aroma, with a background note of forest floor - fresh earthiness. Pleasant taste, very clean and a bit lighter on the tongue thanmost IPAs. Bitterness is subdued, not overwhelming. A good malt foundation. Mild carbonAtion, lingering aftertaste.
