From notes.
4oz sample consumed at the brewery. This beer has an abv percentage of 6.5.
Poured a golden-amber color, with a moderate amount of off-white foam.
The aroma was of mildly spicy Belgian yeast notes, with some mild, grassy hop notes.
Like in the aroma, the Belgian yeast was the most noteworthy flavor components, paired with some grassy hop notes. Not the most flavorful example of the style I've ever had, but pretty good, and quite drinkable.
Very well-done Belgian mouthfeel - so many American attempts at Belgian beers fall apart when it comes to the mouthfeel, and this one just nails it. This is light and vaguely effervescent, just as it ought to be.
A very drinkable Saison, I think I had this beer on-tap at Jones Radiator about 1 1/2 years ago, well before RR opened their taproom. I don't remember much about it (perhaps I had too much!), except that I liked it, and I'm glad that the beer now seems to be pretty good as well.
