Draft pour at 'The Radler' in Logan Square, where this is one of the 'house' beers. Pours a deep gold/amber color with a very deep creamy head. The overwhelming note here is honey, with a honeycomb sweetness that comes across. Good, solid malt backbone to keep plenty of balance here.

Served in a tumbler at Mundelein Brewfest 2014.
Finally trying my first Flesk beer, their maibock. It pours a mostly clear brass topped by a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises barley, flowers, light grass, a touch of vague fruits, light dried honey, and a host of bread. The taste brings in more of the same, the hops and bread battling for supremacy, all the while being watched teary-eyed by their sorta fruity kids. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a solid maibock, nothing to write home about, but something I could see enjoying a krug of in the early warm months.
