Had on tap. Lighter black pour with a cap of mocha foam. Aromas of coffee, roasted malt, and dark chocolate, refreshing to have a single stout again. Taste has big roast up front, coffee grounds with a touch of harshness right behind as it transitions to the dark chocolate. Feel is medium-light bodied, heavily roasted and smooth. Solid

Served on tap in a globe at the Flesk taproom.
Finishing up our Flesk-ed evening with the stout, all whilst some Paralympic hockey rocks in front of us (shout-out to Samson, the mascot of the 2021 games in Czechia). If anyone's wondering, Russia (playing under their Paralympic Committee's banner due to doping issues from before (also, on the same stats screen, they made South Korea's flag the maple leaf banner of Canada, so that was funny)) was leading South Korea 2-0 in the second period. Anyway, this stuff pours a deep midnight brown topped by a finger of khaki foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, toast, and a touch of molasses. The taste brings in more of the same, a pronounced sense of burnt pretzel pervading the latter half of the experience. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, a nice stout, though the roast becomes a bit much at times.
