Released 4/15/22; drank 7/19/22 @ the Yarchives.
Mostly opaque dull brown/orange appearance.
An even pour yielded a nice khaki head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Tart blackberry & mild dill pickle notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild flavors of tart blackberry & dill pickle; not much base beer here, always a danger in barrel aging a sub 10% brew. It's not offensive, certainly, but it's not worth tracking down either.
I never had the regular version, so I can't compare the two.
