Slightly hazed yellow with a thin white head that leaves a small cap and modest lacing.
Clean aroma with floral hops and a hint of strawberry. Very clean tasting with cakey/bready malt, firm bitterness and a slight metallic edge.
Smooth feel, a tad creamy for the style, with nice carbonation. Really good stuff.

La Cabra Brewing "Providence Pils"
from a 32 oz. crowler, less than 2 days old
$10
I sampled this at the brewery and was so impressed that I decided I'd better take some home rather than relying on my olfactory and tasting skills after having already had samples of three of their other beers. It's exactly as I remember it, and the transfer to the crowler seems to have done no damage - in my opinion a properly filled crowler is no less better than what comes off of most mobile canning lines, and possibly even better if consumed within a reasonable time (my only concern would be bacterial pickup at the faucet).
It's a very slightly hazy golden beneath a short head of bright white that holds well and leaves some nice lace about the glass. Tiny bubbles can be seen steadily rising. The aroma is grassy and lemon-ish over a softly grainy malt base, and that carries over into the flavor where the malt opens up a bit. A solid bitterness balances it, and it finishes dry and spicy. It's medium bodied and crisp. Nicely done on all counts it nails the style and reminds me of some of the Kellerpils I've sampled in Germany.
