Notes: Typical Imperial stout appearance: opaque "black" body beneath a thick head of tan. Average head retention and lacing. The aroma expresses a soft roastiness, milk chocolate, coconut, oak, and a drop of Bourbon. The flavor is sweetish with a hint of Bourbon, a soft grainy roastiness, and very lightly coffee-ish. There's some apple-like fruit that's unusual, not what you'd normally expect, and probably comes from higher fermentation temperatures as there's a little bit of heat to it as well. Nor is it as roasty as you might expect, but both of these things make it a little bit unique. Medium bodied and gently crisp.
