La Cabra Brewing "Rare Bear Mid-Atlantic IPA with pineapple"
on tap @ The 19th Annual Manayunk Craft Beer Festival
Notes: I'm not sure if this is the Rare Bear with additional pineapple added, or if the Rare Bear has pineapple already, but there's certainly some pineapple to it. It's a hazy light gold beneath a full head of foamy white. The aroma suggests grapefruit, orange, pineapple, papaya, and mango over a straightforward grainy-golden malt base. The flavor follows without variance, and it's balanced by a stiff bitterness. Dry, citrusy finish with just a hint of citrus pith or mineral.
