16 oz can traded from BA user Beerchaeology. Canned 6/25/18. Snifter pour.
Hazy though not juicy appearance, bright gold, with a fluffy head of 2 fingers.
Dank, piney, ashy pot aromas from the Simcoe coming straight forward, with slight lemon and grapefruit aroma.
The hop profile kind of clashes, rather than compliments; with lots of bright fruit assumed to be from Idaho #7 (orange, grapefruit, lemon gummy bear), with the pine resins and wet grass, slight ash/bark, and dank pot of Simcoe. That being said it still drinks real easy, and has a lot of flavor to offer. Simcoe does not always play easy with other hops and it's quite a balancing act - this is an example of that.
Feel is acidic and highly carbonated but not overly so, with resins hanging tight.
Overall, it's making me re-think a bulk purchase of Simcoe, man that hop takes over everything. It's very dank and pot-like, with the Idaho 7 brightening things up a bit, but the profile still clashes a bit. However - I think you should check this one out if you get a chance. It's flavorful in spades and has a lot of dank and pithy flavors.

This is a very dank and fruity DIPA with a thick mouthfeel and an aroma that is just insanely intense and long-lasting. Well balanced but full of flavor this is just one amazingly tasty and satisfying Imperial India Pale Ale.
