Poured with nice head that dissipated. Garnet color. Medium nose, strong ginger-like notes, yarrow?. Malty with good spice balance. A well-made gruit.

Burnt copper, yet lighter amber around the edges, with a thick hazel fizz dying to a persistent blanket.
Smell is toasty phenol, cherry and banana bread.
Taste is banana bread with light phenolic spice plus a hint of apple cider or maybe Calvados. Overall, very well balanced with nothing overpowering.
This one has a nice, fluffy, wonderful light to medium body, finishing semi-wet .

Bought a bottle at the brewery after trying a sample. Poured a slightly dark coppery color with a nice saison like fluffy head which dissipated somewhat quickly. Had a grassy somewhat boozy smell to it. At first the taste was off putting as the spices that were included from a local farm (yarrow, mugwort, bayberry, white pine & spruce tips) detracted from the taste that I like about saisons. But as is the case with other BottleHouse beers, the more it warmed up the better it tasted. So I wouldn't put this in the elite saison category but it was an interesting variant on the style.
