a newer one from these guys, given its apparent popularity at the taproom, i bet they will start canning it before too long. its a deep amber colored brew, which starts off with a real nice white head, but it dies all of a sudden and the beer is left looking still. high degree of clarity though. the nose on it is more stone fruit than citrus for me, i get the grapefruit peel in there, but i also get more of a red apple and peach thing, quite complex, but less fruity than expected for what they call it. in the flavor, i get a ton of the red malt, thats their signature thing, so i cant hate on it here. my one real critique is the use of the word farmhouse. i expected a much more yeast driven beer here, and this one isnt even belgian, let alone saison-esque and funky, a petty bad use of the word here. nice flavor profile, lots of hops and grapefruit on the finish, and a lot of body. i wish it had more carbonation, it gets a little heavy as it warms because of the lack of bubbles, but this is definitely something unique even with its flaws.
