Can, canned July 7th. Thanks Jacob!
It pours a deep clear dark gold with some really long lasting foam and superb lacing.
The nose brings me a pungent aroma of grapefruit and onions. Hints of dry hopping smells.
Grapefruit, onions, and yeah, I would be surprised if this wasn't dry hopped. Malt seems to be cracker like to me. Delectable.
Medium...body and carbonation.
First beer for me from Black Shirt and it's a yummy one.

12 oz can. Pours clear golden orange with a pillowy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is slightly skunky malt with onion hops and some fruit that comes out a lot as it sits.
The flavor is sweet fruity biscuit malt with minty, ashy, resiny onion hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I remember liking this better on tap.

12oz can served in a tulip. Given to me by @mr-jj. Canned on 4/6/17.
Pours mostly clear amber with a smallish head and medium carbonation. Smell is bright, floral, and hoppy. A little juicy, a little lemon.
Taste is more of the same. It's nice. Strong bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is crisp and smooth. Overall, it's a really nice IPA.

Frontman IPA is my first love (for an IPA). I historically have not liked IPAs in the past, as imperial stouts, ESBs, and Belgian quads have been my go-to styles for years now. I recently decided to give IPAs another chance, and approached several with an open mind... I instantly latched onto this one. I appreciate the slight malty backdrop to the crispness of the hops - delicately balanced while still bringing that good "zing" that IPAs are known for! Definitely the #1 IPA that I can recommend to anyone who’s looking for something new, especially those who haven’t particularly dabbled in IPAs in the past. Thanks in no small part to Frontman, I now have a much greater appreciation for the IPA style.
