A 330ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2013, so it's a bit out of date. Acquired a while back from Beeritz. I hope it's still in good condition. From the label I take it to be a saison-style brew hopped with Styrian Goldings.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy pale-gold hue with some chunky floating sediment and good carbonation. Produces a vast head of creamy white foam with excellent retention; this slowly reduces to a thick surface layer. Aroma of fruity yeast esters and subtle hops with hints of white pepper, apricot, bubblegum, mild banana, faint clove, lemon, grass/hay, delicate white fruits, earthiness and a twinge of grain. Rounded and complex - very nice.

Tastes of fruity yeast with a bone-dry finish. Notes of dry earthiness, coriander, subtle white pepper, mild banana, a twinge of clove, sour lemon, grass/hay, faint white fruits and stewed hops. A touch of cardboard in the background. Highly attenuated, followed by a light, yeasty bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and very dry, with pleasant carbonation and good body for the style. Severely astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of dry, earthy yeast, fruity esters and stewed hops.

Rather nice but exceptionally dry. Looks lovely with a large foamy head. The aroma and flavour are dominated by earthy, fruity yeast notes and hints of noble hop character. The aroma is a shade more rounded due to the dryness of the taste. Nice body. A lovely saison that hits the right notes - the only slight problem being the overdevelopment of the yeast. Guess I should have drunk it sooner. Well-crafted and worth sampling if you come across it.
