A historical English mild ale, it is light brown in color. Rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making this an extremely sessionable ale.

Had twice in the Adirondacks. Once at the brewpub that was poured terribly with no head and lacking aromas and far too cold. Another time off-site that was a much better showing for the beer with lot's of sweet malt and balanced with some good earthy and citric hop components. A tasty and sessionable pint that could show a bit better at it's point of origin where it seemed a bit more like homebrew than commercial success.

L: Pours a brown copper. About one finger of tan head. It dissipates rather quickly leaving a ring of foam.
S: Caramel. Oats.
T: Follows the nose with a slight bitterness. No hop presence.
F: Medium bodied, moderate to light carbonation.
O: Tastes like the ales I drank in London. Too bad this place isn't local.
