Huge pine aroma, intense resinous hop flavor and a dry finish leaves you with a magnificently balanced IPA. English two row and crystal malts provide the base for the high alpha hops to come forward.

Pours rich, clear amber with a one and a half inch off-white head. The head slowly fades to a thick blanket, leaving patchy lace on a Strangebird IIPA glass. Fine carbonation populates the interior for the duration.
The aroma opens with toasted malt, followed by sun-brewed tea. It has a fair amount of pine tar. Warmth brings out honey.
The flavor is less bitter than expected, with fairly neutral sweetness. Tea flavors are most prominent early. This seems to be more like an old school IPA than anything else. The finish is mild and lingering with earthiness. Bitterness builds as it warms.
The IPA is soft, with a full body and a bit slick. Alcohol and light carbonation are within expectations.
This is another decent IPA. I enjoyed it with corn chips and nacho cheese.

1Qt. crowler hand packaged at the brewery - no date.
Very pretty, clear, dark copper color with an off white head of tiny bubbled foam, leaving starry specks of lace all around. A bit dark for style but nice to look at.
Aroma is malt forward but soft with subtle pine and flower scents along with yummy smelling steeped grain notes.
The flavor is less than IPAish but spot on for a Pale Ale imo and at 5.7%, it needs bigger balls, and more boil hops, to be an IPA. But hey - they can call it what they want and so can I.
Dark grain character comes through in both color and flavor. Maybe a dash of chocolate malt or just a lot of dark crystal, this has a depth of flavor that makes up for it's lack of hop aggression. Big toffee flavor with hints of chocolate, plums and pine resin.
Great balance for a pale ale and hop bite comes forward a bit as it warms but the body is light-medium at most.
The finish is clean and dry with a lingering grass and pine bitterness.
I like.

Had on tap. Pours clear, gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is big pine, honey and toasted malt. Slightly bitter, moderate carbonation, light body. Nice west coast ipa. Blue Line is a nice hidden gem.
