16 ounce can - $2.75 at Tasty Beverage Company in Asheville, North Carolina.

Appearance: Pours a yellow, crystal-clear body with a medium-sized, frothed head of white suds. Thin sheets of lacing.

Smell: Thin sniff of the pale base malts with a little honey and orange peel, simple as that.

Taste: Light crackery, pilsner malts with a pinch of powdered sugar. A light, lightly tangy blend of sweetish honey and far-off orange peels. Minimal hop character but you get enough to balance things out. Drying, scantly orange-hinting finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's a lil' basic blonde, but certainly does its job at serving to be refreshing and easy-drinking.

Excellent beer! I can't say that I taste honey, but I wasn't looking for it at this airport bar. Nice flavor and balanced hops with malt. Perhaps slightly bitter on the back of the tongue (use lower alpha hops for bittering).

 

I hesitated to buy this beer based on a low score, but was given one from my neighbor and was pleasantly surprised.

Looks a bit hazy

Smells like English malts, slight (not pale ale level) hoppiness, and citrus

Taste the English malts upfront, then comes the hops with a notable citrus kick.

Feels like an english bitter with a kick of citrus.

If your looking for a citrusy english bitter or just a satisfying below 5%abv beer, I'd give it a try.

 

 

Had a 16 ounce can with lunch at the Six Pence Pub in Blowing Rock North Carolina (with a great BLT sammich). Good beer, but nothing to write home about.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Had on tap. Murky golden body with a white cap. Honey malt led nose, with mild yeast. Taste has the honey become watery, malt is thin, yeast is bland and light, almost have cracker tone more. Feel is watery and light, crusher with no real character besides malty

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and a faint amount of golden yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy bright white head that reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of bready malts with a hint of light fruit sweetness (including apple and pear) with a hint of citrus/orange zest.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready malts with a light to moderate amount of honey + light fruit (apple) sweetness. There are hints of citrus/orange zest and just the lightest hint of grassy hops which impart a touch of bitterness which fades quickly.

M: Just slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: If I did not know this was an ale based on the description from the brewery, I would have thought it was a lager based on the mouthfeel and flavors. Very easy to drink and enjoyable. I could easily put down a few of these in a sitting and in the can form factor, they would be perfect for tailgating or outdoor activities.
