Poured on nitro-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark brown to black coloring with ruby highlights and a thin, dense, off-white head. Nose of chocolate, coffee, and peat. Flavors are chocolate forward, with hints of coffee and earthy notes. Smooth, mid-bodied, with a bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. Smooth finish. This body begs for more from the palate.
