The Oktoberfest beer has caramel, toasty, and malty flavors, with very little sweetness in the finish and a dark gold to copper color. Technically, Oktoberfest beer can only be produced inside the city limits of Munich, limiting its production to six breweries. The brewers for AMB, cousins Nathan and Chris, can trace their ancestors far back into Germany's history. Their grandmother's maiden name is Von Watzdorf, and this noble family founded the Watzdorf Brauerei in 1411, and it is still operating today! Unfortunately, this brewery does not make an Oktoberfest/Märzen. In order to honor our German heritage, we made this seasonal Oktoberfest and named it the Von Watzdorf Oktoberfest. It has delicious, complex malt character with the smooth mouthfeel of a lager.

Gorgeous beer. Amber color with golden and ruby hues. 2 finger cream colored head that quickly fades. The aroma is not what I was expecting. Fruity and bready. Smells like fruitcake. Taste like toast and grapes. Smooth mouthfeel. Good beer. Interesting beer.

12 oz can from a Western North Carolina Ingles Market.

Appearance. Clear, dark amber colored body with a full, durable beige head.

Hop forward aroma with a more even balance of hops and malts in the flavor.

Picked up a 12oz bottle from TW-Greenville 9-24-22 for $2.79. No bottling date; consumed 11-7-22.

Beer poured golden orange with an okay head that dissipated quickly.

Nose has notes of toasted malts and floral hops.

Taste is a moderate toasted malt base that takes on a slight caramel flavor. Finishes balanced with an appropriate amount of sweetness in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty refreshing.

Overall a pretty nice representation of the style. Would have again.

Pours very orange, nice lasting full head. Faint aromas. A little too complex, woody and bitter for the style. I wanted to like it more, but 3.75 is where this tops out for me.
