This one was recommended by the beer guy at Whole Foods. They were out of Wussie and he thought it would be a good replacement. Some nice hoppiness. Pours pale yellow and slightly cloudy with a one inch hear that leaves quickly, leaving behind some lacing. The hops do give it an American slant but it is better than some I've had. Goes down easy on a hot day in NC. I've edited this to increase the look and taste scores as this one has grown on me. It is listed here as a Czech pilsner but I think the hops are American but I'm not sure which hops are being used. In terms of appearance only I would say it looks more like a German Pilsner rather than a Czech pilsner.

Pour into a pilsner a dull lighter golden with a fluffy bone white head atop.Mainly cracker in the nose with a light shot of citrus underneath.Palate starts out with some crisp cracker flavors with underlying citric and slightly spicy hops coming in a lingering finish. Not bad but not as hoppy as I was looking for,it's called a 'hoppy pilsner' on can label but it doesn't really hit home.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of floral and citrus/grapefruit zest over the top of slightly heavier than light aromas of bready malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of bready malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of floral, citrus/grapefruit zest, and spicy/peppery hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which does not linger for long.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp and clean.

O: Easy to drink and enjoyable but not a beer that is going to knock your socks off - a little more hoppy (and American style hoppy) German Pils. Refreshing and sessionable with well hidden alcohol.
