Decent session beer. Lightweights will approve.

Had on tap. Pours clear, gold in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is pine, earthy hops, and lemon. Light bodied, slightly bitter, with moderate carbonation. Makes for an above average to good ipa. Goes down really easy in the summer months. I do prefer other ipas, but I could also see myself finishing a six pack of this really easily.

This is a good beer, I'm surprised. I don't like most of what Thimble Island releases but this one caught me off guard. The smell is nonexistent, but there's a nice taste to it. It's a standard light IPA taste with small hints of fruit, but not extremely present. The look pours a darker yellow color. This is a good summer IPA!

Pours a straw yellow with a half finger of head that settles to a thin cap leaving lots of soapy lacing. Faint citrus aroma. Even fainter taste with a trace of bitterness. On the thin side.

Had on tap at the brewery. After talking with the brew crew there, this is a toned-down version of the session IPA that was released as a test about a year ago. Pours a straw color with some haze in the body, Session 45 certainly looks a bit lighter.
Still has a nice nose on it, you can really pick up the Amarillo hops here, very similar profile to Super Session #2 from Lawson's. Taste wise there's some cracker malts and light lemony sweetness first, then a quick blast of the Amarillo and mosaic (I believe) after that. The taste is pretty light overall and it's refreshing, but the body is a bit watery and I do miss the old recipe that was sublimely hoppy.
Overall it will be easy to drink in the summer, but I don't know how often I will get this. It's certainly kicked down a bit from the old recipe, so maybe I will see if there are any dry-hopped cask versions at the brewery to bring my love back.
