Taste a lot like the American ale on tap but more carbonated had a burnt taste in the can but I’ll take it over all the other largers with corn and rice adjuncts. Good clean beer

It is a perfectly fine and inoffensive lager. It would appeal to a mass audience.

Crowler from the source.
Slightly hazy deep yellow with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly recedes. Grainy light crackery maltiness with light earthy floral hops. Pretty decent lager maybe a bit fruity but decent drinker.

Can of Thimble lager (50 degrees F) tasted November 2017.
Beer pour results in a pale, cloudy body and wispy white foam. Flavor is weak, even at 50F, and might be slightly better than most major brewery lagers. This was disappointing to me.

Pours slightly hazy, gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is banana, wheat, lemon, and light grain. Light bodied, high carbonation, and sweet. By appearances and taste, this drinks like a hefe. Really tasty, crushable, warm weather gem. I will get this again. Excellent for the style.

I'm really a big fan of where Thimble Island is going with this beer, but there is a sediment problem in their process which has to get rectified before I can think about this as a top of the class pale lager. From what I can tell it isn't affecting the taste, but for all I know a more filtered beer won't have the same depth of malt character. Having said that, this is truly a lager for fans of the style that don't want rice and/or corn in the mash. Hop bite is on the low end, but there's just enough of a grassy, hay-like note to give it a nice field beer smell. Crisply carbonated as you would expect. I want to try this again six months down the road to see if Thimble Island can dial in the production process for this beer, they're relatively new at the lager game so I will give them a pass this time.

On-tap 11/10/2016 at Willimantic Brewpub in Willimantic, CT, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a very thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains lager yeast, light caramelized malts, some grassy hops and some citrus.
T: The taste starts out with some caramel and citrus sweetness followed by a decent grassy hops bitterness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
