This is a Black IPA and rated at 69 IBUs. On tap at the brewery tap on 30th St. An interesting dark hoppy brew, with more malt than the usual hop-centric Black IPAs.
Very dark brown with a wisp of foam in the 8 oz glass. Malty and warm with a bigger mouthfeel than most IPAs. Still, this is halfway to a Double. Rather sweet with serious amounts of roasted malt. Caramel with a bitter edge. More herbal than fruity or piney hops.
