The NEW Dammed! Yes we changed our beloved Double IPA. It was not an easy decision; we weren't happy about, least of all, Troy. But "the times they are a changing", and so must we. Rather than scrap an old friend, Troy gave her an upgrade. The slightly sweet malty flavor of the Dammed has been replaced by the complex tropical aromas and citrus flavors of Mosaic Hops. Turns out, we absolutely love it. We think it's amazing, we hope you do too! The Gimp's still got it! This is my new favorite.

Picked up a non refrigerated 22 oz bottle at my local Grocery Outlet and ran home and placed it my eager ice cooler for later drinkability. After a couple hours of anticipation I poured said bottle into chilled glass mug. Now we are in business. Nice golden colour with a white head and a little lacing. Smells of a typical West Coast IPA except with a kind of Mango scent coming through. Taste great, the fruit flavours complement the hops and don't overpower them. Great mouthfeel. Prost!

Picked up a bomber from BevMo Bell Road 'fridge in early October for $8.79. No bottling date visible but it was just received in the greater Phoenix area when picked up. Transferred to my beer 'fridge immediately.
Beer poured a crystal clear golden that is leaving lacing as i sample.
Nose has faint hints of tropical and citrus hops.
Taste has a hint of mango and peach, grapefruit, finishing with a bitter citrus rind.
Mouthfeel is very clean and refreshing for such a big beer.
Overall this beer has some nice characteristics and is enjoyable but there are many better choices out there in a crowded field.

Apricot gold with a thick creamy head that stayed awhile, leaving dots and streaks of lacing.
Tropical citrus on the nose and palate.
Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Slight bittersweet finish.
The over-maltiness of the original has been replaced with more of a pineapple/orange bitter-sweetness. A definite improvement IMO.
