500ml bottle filled 10/13/23 poured twice into a 10 oz snifter.
L: SRM 40 Pours black with a dark tan fizzy head that disappears within seconds being slightly cola-like, very light visible carbonation, a few small random dots of lacing.
S: Peanut butter, milk chocolate, molasses, a suggestion of maple, a touch of vanilla, light barrel notes.
T: Dark milk chocolate, peanut butter, some char, sweet caramelized dark-toasted malts, confection sugar, light vanilla, light background grains, a hint of toasted waffles, dancing & moving shadowy barrel notes. Peanut butter tastes linger with barrel notes.
F: Lightly brisk, smooth full-bodied feel with a long fairly drying finish. Feel softens with warming. It is warming in the chest. Mouthfeel starts cola-like and then is like milk.
O: A fairly rich and full-bodied flavored Stout. Simple flavors that have depth. I enjoy its "breakfast-like" aftertaste and alcoholic warmth without actually tasting any alcohol. Sweet but far from cloying. It is excellent in its style.
