Troy has not brewed in a long time, and I was giving him a hard time about coming up with something unique. Maybe, just maybe, he lost his talent. To prove me wrong he jumped on his little 3 BBL system and came up with Terps. What the heck are terps, you ask? Terps are aromatic molecules that enhance and complement the hop flavor and aromas used in this beer. This new style IPA has a unique, fruity, and tropical flavor profile. When we tried it, we thought, “Wow, this needs to be a core style!”

Eye-Catching Can, Easy-Drinking Brew
What first caught my attention? The packaging—bold, clean, and calling out from the shelf like it knew it had something to prove. Naturally, I had to see if the contents lived up to the looks. Fast-forward to a quiet evening in the hotel room (pint glass borrowed from the bar downstairs—let’s keep that between us), and I cracked one open.
Poured a beautiful golden hue with a subtle apricot tint—visually, it sets the tone well. On the nose, it leans heavily tropical, almost overwhelmingly fruity, but don’t let that fool you. The taste is more restrained: a moderately hoppy presence, minimal bitterness, and an overall smooth profile.
Now, the cons: the mouthfeel leans a bit too light, flirting with watery. Lacing and head retention? Not exactly memorable. But if you're after a lighter, easy-drinking take on the style that won’t overpower your palate, this brew checks the box.
It may not win awards for complexity, but it certainly earns points for approachability. A solid option for casual sipping, and hey, it looks great doing it.

Copenhagen 10/9 2023. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. White can with Beaver skull crunching a hop flower in its jaw.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin puddles of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet potent odor of ripe Stone fruit mingling with tart citrus fruits. Mango galore. Passion fruit. Grapefruit and lime.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Inviting fruity nose but a bit flat and sweet in flavor.

fresh and modern and delicious, lighter to drink than it looks, hazy and pale yellow but not starchy and heavy feeling, still some glow in the glass, frothy headed too and easy on the palate. i think its well named, this presents as hoppy in a new school way, terpene fruitiness abounds, but this isnt cloying or forced, and overall its one of the better hoppy beers ive had from these guys in some time, although its all been solid of late. i want to know what the hops are, are the hop products in it? i have questions, but i like what i smell and taste, muddled lemongrass, mandarin oranges from the can, and some weedy character, green grape, high thiol hoppiness but this doesnt seem to have engineered yeast in it, smooth too in the mouthfeel, almost like drinking a cloud, but without a lot of actual grain flavor, its not super intense as the terpene driven profiles go, and i think thats cool, lends to drinkability, and makes it pretty approachable. bitterness is well restrained, it gets lemony as it warms, grassy too but not quite vegetal, and with some fleshy white coconut there at the end too. i like how bright this is, how clean it finishes, and overall i think its distinctive and excellent, a beer i hope to drink again, summery to some extent, i hope they keep this one around, perhaps underrated a bit here on BA...

So here's my one liner if you tl;dr: Like a belgian ipa with weed. This was on tap at BeerNV after yet another day of skiing at Mt. Rose.
Pours like a hazy ipa, has the yellow with flour in it look. 1/2" white head. The aroma was nice. It delivered what it said it was, a tropical terpene experience. I'm guessing some Mosaic and El Dorado. Had the pineapple, guava, passion fruit kind of vibe to its nose. Then there was a bit of jive going on as we segue into the world of taste.
Whoa. What is that? Tastes like a belgian yeast? Strange. Belgian hazy ipa. I'm seriously getting that I thought as I continued to sip away. Phenolic and tropical. What a time to be alive. So what I perceive as a belgian yeast (I'm sure its not in reality, it just tastes that way) seems to only amplify bitterness and booziness. Kind of a weird vibe for a hazy ipa. Guava seems to be the biggest hop flavor imbued. It definitely a unique beer. Not sure if I would get a 6 pack of it unless it was at the grocery store already.

Pours a mostly cloudy golden color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. There is sediment in the glass. Has a strong guava aroma. Too much tropical guava flavor. A little citrus bite at the end. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Smell and taste is of guava and pineapple with a hint of malt, to my palate. Look is nothing great with all the silt in there but there is some decent head with some lacing and rockiness. Overall, very drinkable and underrated!

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of peaches and orange. Taste follows nose.

Hazy, fruity and sweet. Pale yellow color with a bubbly white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Tastes sweet with no bitterness to speak of. It's an average representation of the style.
