Copenhagen 27/5 2025. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Dark blue can with the name pf the beer in gold and Belching Beavers logo with a gaping Beavers head.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with a small white head, Bubbly, Disappears after a few seconds leaving what looks like urine from troubled gentleman. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a little tart fruit and metallic alcohol. Sweet pale malts, bread and corn. Lemon.
Strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture. Fizzy.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish and bitter, A tad watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is thin.
Generic Pale Lager.

This one pours a peachy-gold color with a pleasant stream of carbonation flying up, but failing to create a sustained head. It is just a tiny bit cloudy.
Smells is really on point for the style with musky corn and a pinched sourness. There's a sweet fruitiness here that I can't put my finger on.
Oof, flavor is a bit off. I don't mind it, and it is quite refreshing, but this is taking the style in a new direction. There's a sourness here that makes me for split second think I'm drinking a sour, but then the sourness subsides, and I'm left with some corny yeasty notes that I'm expecting. Finishes super-duper clean, which makes this really refreshing (and saves the score!).
Very clean and light, with a soft rasp of bubbles, reminiscent of seltzer water with a denser texture. I coats my mouth a bit, but not in a bad way.
I enjoyed this beer, but it takes things in a direction other than what I'm expecting for a light lager. I'm delighted that I gave this one a whirl, and I suspect this would be incredibly refreshing on a hot day. It is extremely easy to drink and is really quite refreshing! If I'm on my way to a BBQ and I see a sixer of this on a shelf in the fridge, I just may grab it again.

Draft at New Colony. Clear golden pour, barely there wispy head. Lots of corn in the aroma. Taste isn't bad, just super bland. Light metallic bitterness at the finish. Very disappointing.
