Copenhagen 1/2 2020. 44 cl can from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihavnsgade, Kbh. Ø. Anarchy’s usual design this time with green skull on the can with planets for eyes.

Pours hazy, milky, opaque, golden yellow with a very big, fairly stable, white head. Settles as thin but lumpy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense, sweetly fruity and citric. Peach, pineapple and a little papaya. Citric odor of grape fruit, lemon and citrus.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, smooth, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is a bit thin. Citric and bitter. Lingers shortly. Semi-dry finish.

Refreshing and with a delicious nose. A little thin in the flavor though.

A soft, sweet, balanced ale. Pulled from the cask at Euston Tap.
Looks like the classic style, particularly how the freshness lets the foam stick in the glass from top to bottom.
I don't pickup any distinctive Smells. Tastes show classic balance, just enough hops to prompt another sip. Feel is soft, luxuriously soft.

I went on Anarchy's website and found out that they brew in Newcastle. I spent two hours in Newcastle and I have to say that all the character on their website reminds me of those two hours. And all that character is good, I hope to go back sometime.

Lively tarnished tin with thick shaving cream foam. 4
That Citra lemon that so musty it’s almost smoky, with a bit of honeydew. 4
Tablewater malts then big gooseberry, kiwi, white grape, and key lime hops. 4
Fizzy lime finish and mouthwateringly tingly linger.
Light, bubbly, crisp, salty. 3.75

Punky labeling and bell-shaped bottle but still a self-declared blonde at 4.1%, so Jarl is the yardstick here. And it overshoots the mark, with incredible juiciness compensating for a lack of ABV + IBUs (36, and generous even then) and champagne carbonation half-hiding the paper thin body. This strays into that weird territory of Guineu Riner: Euro-craft for lager drinkers at low strength with full on hopping. A very pleasant Oz to live in. 4.25

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2014. Picked up the other day from Trembling Madness in York. The label calls it a hoppy blonde. Comes in a fancy little bottle that looks like a miniature champagne bottle...

Poured into a Delirium chalice. Bottle conditioned. A very hazy amber hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Yields a decent head of frothy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a surface layer. Some lacing. Aroma of bright, fruity hops with hints of lime/lemon, citrus, mild white grape, melon, grass, subtle malt and earthy yeast. The fruit character smells quite honey-like. Fantastic.

Tastes of sharp, fruity hops with a dry, bitter finish. Notes of lime/lemon, citrus, white grape, mild melon, grass/hay, peppery noble hops, caramel malt, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, with a faint spiciness and a restrained bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with soft carbonation and good body for the style. Mild hop oils on the palate. Somewhat astringent, followed by an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, earthy yeast and mild citrus.

Tasty - a very nice pale ale. Looks good, with the cloudiness you might expect from a naturally bottled beer. The aroma and flavour are dominated by fruity hop notes and earthy yeast, which balance out well. Lovely body. A quality effort that goes down all too easily; well worth sampling if you come across it.
