Can. Thin golden orange. Slight haze. Thick head. Light lacing.
Mild marmalade aroma.
Pithy taste. Subdued bitterness.
Rather thin. Low carbonation.
Okay for the abv.

another kind of samey one from these guys, hoppier and more robustly bitter than i am used to in an english style, but like lost in a sort of weird grey area between american and english ipa, where the bitterness is there, but the hop flavor really isnt, the malt is english in nature but without the structure i am used to in an english one, and the yeast is familiar but almost too mild to balance the beer. fine on its own, lost in the tide of other crate beers we had that all kind of tasted a little bit samey, and as the nostalgia of being in london for the first time wore off and i thought about the beer less romantically, i was less and less stoked on this. its not bad, its just generic, and it seems weird to travel across the pond just to discover a beer that tastes like an amateur english pale that could have come from any upstart midwestern brewery. its also seems somewhat less than fully fresh on the hop side, which is a turn off in the style, and really doesnt make much sense since the beer was consumed at the brewery. dont want to be too harsh, but this was well below the golden and the session for me and the guys in my crew...

330ml Can from Tesco supermarkets:
Definitely a pleasant enough beer & one that opened well, if perhaps a little sweeter than expected but it certainly didn't overpower & the caramel malts seemed to work well with & balance out the pine hops & slightly topical fruits on the nose. It was a little less sweet come the nose but followed on in a similar vein with some nice mango & apricot coming through alongside some floral bursts as well. All in all it was a nice enough beer without it exciting too much or being one to hurry back to either.

Canned in a crafty craft can

Aroma is full on white chocolate and candy grapefruit
there's a great wheaty base and that gib soapy grapefruit taste meaning a solid body

On tap at Hack and Hop. One of the best IPAs I've had in London. Nice drinkable IPA without trying to over-Americanize the style.

Pint on tap at Porterhouse at Covenant Garden. Pours an orangish hue...looks good but head is DOA. Smell is fresh C hops. Not sure the exact mix, but cascade and centennial seem as good a guess as any. Piney west coast aroma, although it falls short of the best examples. Taste follows as expected with plenty of piney bitterness; dry but some of the fruityness gives the sense of sweetness. Too bad it was not a cask offering; I'd love to see more IPAs here on cask. Overall, certainly worth a try.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.

Pours a dark red/amber colour with a decent enough white head.

Smells vaguely spicy, hoppy but not very fresh.

Tastes hoppy - piney, citrus fruits. Slightly soapy and quite a bit of sweet caramel malts.

Overall a decent enough attempt but underwhelming, and the soapy off taste is a bit off putting.
