This is my 2nd rice lager, and like the other the flavors are light and delicate. This is a very smooth, light lager. Nice fluffy head on top of a slightly cloudy straw colored beer. Toasted rice aroma carries over into the taste. This beer is all about the rice. Well done. Just a hint of bitterness on the dry finish. Triptych does it again.

16 oz can from 4 pack, dated 8/30/21, best by 3/1/22, into Bearded Iris Willie.
Clear yet active straw body, lots of theatrics going on here with the bubbles spiraling to the top feeding the head. Creamy finger of head that sticks around permanently.
Aroma is adjunct grain - corn and rice and barley, much like a typical american lager. Even though it's brewed with rice I get a lot of corn, strangely.
Flavor brings the rice, big time. Lots of toasted rice and white rice, with hints of toasted coconut and slight floral notes.
Feel is effervescent, crispy even, with a ton of carbonation and a feather light body. Drinks like carbonated water.
Overall, not a stunner, but it's a rice lager, so take that as you will. I'd argue it's the best domestic rice lager available, and even though I haven't had many of them I can only imagine a rice lager enthusiast would enjoy this one to the max.

had this two spring seasons ago and very much enjoyed it. did not review then. 2023 offering (did they make this in 2022?) poured from a 16oz can into a veil willi becher pint glass. pours straw gold with some chill haze to it as it fills the glass. has a slight rice/corn ethanol-like aroma to it as well as crackery malt and some lemony and grassy notes. taste is much more pleasant than the nose to me on this one. the rice presents itself as more grain-like with bready malts and even some floral hops in the finish. medium-full mouthfeel. nice and crisp. this is really refreshing and easy to drink. well done lager.
