This had an absolutely magnificent zesty citrusy bouquet/aroma right from the first moment. It looked like a fairly standard hazy IPA but that aroma transformed into a really smooth soft taste that stayed enjoyable for the entire glass. Other reviewers before me have captured all of the delights, so I will simply say that I enjoyed every swallow of this tasty beer.

16 oz can born 8/27/25 into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours a hazy orange color with a thin dull white head that has very good retention and recedes to thin froth, low carbo, full circumference complex lacing with some sheeting, some sediment patches at base.
S: Tropical, citrus, pineapple, firm citrus zest, light alcohol with warming.
T: Bright citrus, a hint of kiwi, stone fruit, pine resin, grapefruit and orange zest, dough in the background with caramel notes, oats, peach cobbler. It is moderately sharp & tangy and is fairly full-flavored. Zest lingers. I detect a light hint of alcohol with warming.
F: Rather brisk with a semi-juicy medium bodied feel and a medium length slightly dry finish.
O: Superior flavor with a brisk feel. High citrus notes atop sweet malts. I get a note of peach cobbler in the lingering finish. This beer is buoyant in a sea of NEIPAs. It is outstanding in its style.

Pours an entirely clouded yellow color with a bigger, froth head atop.

Offers an intense, flowery citrus forward nose with a light layer of cake crust, as well as ripe oranges.

This drinks incredibly smooth, showcasing a medium bodied beer with a well accentuated, late effervescence, creating a well balanced refreshment.

Tastes of ripe luscious oranges and crisp, bitter turning limes among lighter honey and a note of resin. Offers a calming, smooth middle part, creating a flowery softness, which does not tame the prominent lime bite in this. Finishes with tropical fruit chewing gum among whipped cream and orange zest, tied together by zingy kiwi and a long lasting lime bitterness.

This is a prime example to explain the love for Citra hops, which make up for a fantastic, focussed, yet complex great drinking beer.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 5/24/23, had 6/14/23.

Pours a bright, pale yellow, fairly hazy, with a one inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, some papaya, light pine and malt. Smells herbal, and a little dank and sweet. Flavors of grapefruit, some papaya, malt, light pine, a light hop bitterness on the finish that lingers. Tastes herbal and a little dank. Smooth, a good lighter body, well carbonated.

Has a very good flavor, and It’s certainly good overall, but it doesn’t move the needle much for me.

My good friend and old neighbor gave me a can of this. It poured a cloudy orangish with white head that left some lace. The scent had citrus and citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pineapple, apricot, and tangerine flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Looks like orange juice, dense and opaque orange, ample head of foam and drippy lacing all around the glass.

Herbaceous aroma, fresh resiny hops, cut grass and botanicals. A hint of tropical nectar sweetness.

Taste is similarly green and herbaceous but with more tropical Citra character lending mango and papaya. Resiny and bitter, with a low level sweetness present also. Medium bodied, supple and juice-like. Lingering lupulin bitterness, resiny hop oils. Lighter carb, easy drinking. Nice to savor, thankfully not a sweet juice bomb like so many NEDIPA's.

Thanks to Bill for this one!

poured from a 16oz can into a stemless wine glass. pours a turbid, glowing orange with three fingers of fluffy white head. aroma is yeast laden orange juice. as it warms it turns into a straight citrus bomb. taste is slightly bitter orange juice. it carries a hop bitterness and a slight alcohol burn to it but it’s not off putting at all. a softer, medium-bodies mouthfeel with a slight watery finish. it really drinks incredibly smooth for a DIPA. fantastic Citra showcase and one i’ll always buy when i see it.
