From a 12oz bottle. Don't see a date on the bottle.
This is a pitch black looking beer, and looked thick while pouring it. There's no clarity and the minimal tan head dissipated fast. No lacing on the glass.
Holy hell! So much chocolate, caramel, toffee, and dark fruit on the nose. Some vanilla notes of oak also hit my nose.
Damn, the flavor is like the nose, plus more. I get some much caramel in here. Chocolate, toffee, and dark fruit. There's a bit of graham cracker flavor in this beer.
Fudge, this beer doesn't have any burn in it. It is so thick and smooth. Very full bodied.
Wow. This is so damn delicious.

12oz bottle with purple wax; vintage 2023
poured into Rastal stemmed tulip.
Appearance: black as night bodied stout. Small cap of khaki colored head.
Smell: flour-less chocolate cake, vanilla, bourbon / rum, & a hint of graham crackers.
Taste: Massive marshmallows and vanilla with a smooth rum note are the flavors that slap the hardest and start off this flavor bomb of a barrel aged stout. Rich chocolate lava cake in the middle. Light smoke and a hint of graham crackers in the finish. More smooth spirits in the finish slightly more rum than bourbon which is really fantastic.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied stout with low / adequate carbonation levels. The abv is 16.3, but drinks like its 11% stout.
Overall: A rum barrel forward smore stout. Perfectly balanced adjuncts & authentic flavored adjuncts with smooth & bold barrel notes. This is best described as a pastry stout with that perfect old school barrel aged stout body. The motor oil thickness is not needed here. Triptych barrel program is small batch magic for sure.
